Nicole Vander Meulen is the Legal & Policy Director at the International Corporate Accountability Roundtable (ICAR). She is an international human rights lawyer, admitted to practice in the state of New York. Nicole currently leads ICAR’s work to combat corporate capture of our government by conducting and coordinating in depth research to expose corporate influence over our federal agencies and working with the Declaration for American Democracy coalition to develop and advocate for policy solutions. She also heads ICAR’s work on factory list transparency in the apparel industry, leading ICAR’s participation in the Transparency Pledge Coalition. Previously, Nicole led ICAR’s procurement reform program, organizing the International Learning Lab on Public Procurement and Human Rights and engaging in advocacy on the integration of human rights into public procurement. She graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center (GULC) and holds bachelor degrees in Political Science and International Development Studies from Calvin College.
