The G7/G20 Business and Human Rights (BHR) Task Force has submitted a letter to the G20 Employment Working Group, providing key policy recommendations in relation to responsible business conduct in the context of global supply chains and new technologies.

Ahead of the joint Employment and Education Working Group meeting taking place on Wednesday June 13th in Geneva, the BHR Task Force called on the G20 Employment Working Group to build on past commitments and to set ambitious goals for its 2018 Labor and Employment Minister (LEMM) Declaration.

Civil society organizations from around the world issued a set of concrete recommendations aimed at guaranteeing the promotion and protection of human rights including labor rights in global supply chains, as well as to ensure labor and social protections in the context of new and disruptive technologies.

The G7/G20 BHR Task Force is an initiative by the International Corporate Accountability Roundtable bringing together the global community of business and human rights actors to collectively set common goals and coordinate advocacy within existing and future G7/G20 presidencies.
